  • I have known Paddy my whole life. The Frain family has been a big part of my life, especially when we all lived on Paulley Drive. For many years we spent Xmas eve at their place or we'd take trips out to Wpg Beach and have lots of fun together. Paddy always had a twinkle in his eye and that wonderful smile. I've never seen Paddy get mad. My daughter still remembers Paddy saying "come here, you" and then giving her some chocolate. Paddy, you were taken from us far far too soon. I will miss you so very much and will always love you. To Cheryl, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your very best friend & soul mate. To Cheryl, Sean, Paul, Andrea & Kevin: may your fondest memories of Paddy/your Dad carry you through this most difficult time of your lives. He will always be with you. Love Colleen & family xoxo - Posted by: Colleen (Family friend) on: Apr 13, 2015

  • We cannot believe we had to travel 3000 Kms to meet such a wonderful couple as Paddy and Cheryl when they only lived an hour and half away. In the few years we knew him, we discovered a genuine, sincere, subtle, funny, to the point and no nonsense gentleman whom we are honoured to call our friend. To Cheryl, who Linda calls sister, we have been praying several times a day for Paddy and will continue to do so for you, throughout this most sad time of your life. You and Paddy are the inspiration and strength for others to live, love and laugh through life. May God welcome him and grant you the sprit to further the kind, generous and caring life you have shown us all. - Posted by: Linda & Malley Dunn (Brownsville Texas friends) on: Apr 11, 2015

  • I can still see you Paddy, coming out of your house in Transcona on a below zero day steam rising from your soaking wet hair from the freezing cold, always refusing to wear more than a sports coat. Cheryl would just shake her head and say he's always done that. Off we would all go on our social outings, always ending up with a sing song (usually Irish). So many fabulous memories. God speed you on your way Paddy. You will always be in our hearts. Love you my friend. - Posted by: Irene & Don Sayers & Family (Long time friends.) on: Apr 11, 2015

  • It is with PROFOUND sadness I learn of the passing of PADDY FRAIN. He and his lovely wife Cheryl were first to respond to our wedding invitation in 1993...a day we will never forget...As he/Cheryl stepped off the train in Saint John, I knew immediately we would be friends for life.....He and Maggie had a special bond I could feel, and as he toasted what he described as " a beautiful bride" everyone could feel the love. People like PADDY FRAIN don't often come into one's life but for the last 23 years whether it be on our trips to the Lake or to the 'PEG we always kept in touch..Paddy we are profoundly sad today however this is modestly tempered by the saving grace that we have this time together. Rest in Peace BRO....Sadly missed but never forgotten. Our deepest and most profound condolences are extended to Cheryl and the lovely family they raised...R.I.P PADDY. Until we meet again - Posted by: GREGORY D. ZED (FRIEND ) on: Apr 11, 2015

  • So sad, I send strength to you all. Much love ~~Kitty - Posted by: Kathleen Sauerbrei (Friend) on: Apr 11, 2015

  • Dear Cheryl, Sean and Lori, Paul, Andrea, Kevin and Holly, Grandkids and Extended Family, There are no words that we can possibly say to comfort you in this tremendous loss. Paddy was a great guy and we will all miss him so much. He was a wonderful friend to Mom and Dad, one of the "Beach Boys". I will always remember his love of his garden, relaxing in the gazebo, making homemade beer, skills with a soccer ball, lots of laughs by the campfires, but mostly his love of his family. Paddy, get the gazebo ready in Heaven. Until we all meet again. God Bless you all as you go through this difficult journey. - Posted by: Maggie and Greg Zed (Friends) on: Apr 11, 2015
