WILLIAM (JOHN) PICKLEY March 5, 1946 - April 17, 2015 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear John. John leaves to mourn, his beloved partner Priscilla Anderson; his two sons Duane (Danielle) and Mike (Krysten); three grandchildren Gavin, Myla and Maddilyn; two sisters Diane (Bob) Diamond and Audrey (Chuck) Story, and their children. Also left to mourn are his three stepsons Randal, Desmond, Alexander; three stepdaughters Lisa, Eva, Astra (Joseph) and their children, especially Morningstar, John's stepdaughter who, while growing up, spent many days with John and Priscilla. John was born in Central Patricia and moved, when he was nine months old to a piece of land in Winnipeg, where he lived the rest of his life. During his younger years, some of his enjoyments were playing baseball, farming with his uncle Nick, and later helping his Dad farm in Teulon. John's early working years were spent driving his company truck hauling sod for sod companies and later on hauling goods for other companies. Some of his passions were gardening, hunting geese and ducks and more recently spending time with his dog Blondi. He also enjoyed listening to gospel music and playing cards. Most of all he loved to visit with friends and family whom he held close to his heart. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street followed by a reception. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044
