CORNELL HOOGERVORST Peacefully, on Monday, April 20, 2015, at the Selkirk General Hospital, Cornell Hoogervorst, aged 62 years, of Selkirk, MB, beloved husband of Cindy. Full obituary to follow. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

  • Cornell was unique, one of a kind. From neighbours on Willis Road through friends for life, Cornell was amazing.   • I will never forget the smash up derbies and nascar laps around the back of Lionel's wrecking yard. The cruises down main in the only caprice wagon with 3 inch exhaust, And knowing that if or when your family were to be stranded in -40 that he would be on his way.   • I have known Cornell since our High School days and then during his time as an operator for Terry's Towing. He took his job seriously and was an expert in this field. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I wish the Family and friends my prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. He always made you feel welcome no matter when you had last met. No one was ever a stranger. "The Snake" as we fondly called him, always took over the dance floor with his many lanky moves.
