Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAGDEV SINGH CHEEMA April 11, 1965 April 16, 2015 Sadly on April 16, 2015, Jagdev Singh Cheema passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Jagdev first moved to Winnipeg with his parents in 1987, after leaving a career as a police officer in Punjab, India. Locally, Jagdev worked most of his career as a taxi driver and as a city truck driver for the last several years. Jagdev is missed by his mother, Tej Kaur Cheema; wife, Surjit Kaur Cheema; two daughters, Kiran and Aman; brother, Tarsem Singh Cheema (Manjit); sisters, Balvir Kaur Toor (Shamsher) and Jasvir Kaur Dhaliwal (Daljit), many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Jagdev was predeceased by his father, S. Amar Singh Cheema. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. I only became aware of Jagdev's passing today April 29. I am shocked and extremely saddened to hear that we lost such a young man. He was a good neighbour and friend to many. He never hesitated when I asked him for help. I would like to extend heartfelt condolences to Surgit and family for the loss of your husband and father.
