The phone rang Friday morning, Betty answered it in another room. A few moments later I heard her voice get louder and then shocked. Before she came in and told me, I sensed it was Brian. So sad, so untimely, such a loss. I miss you my friend. Shortly after learning of this sad news I contacted and spoke with some of our closest friends and informed them of our loss. What shock and sorrow for each one of us. I miss you my friend. The Family Friend Bank is where we deposit all of our friendships, maintain them and secure them. Brian was definitely in my bank and was so blessed for that. The Family Friend Bank balance represents our genuine wealth in life. Brian had me in his Family Friend Bank. What a wonderful investment. I miss you my friend. We shared so much; growing up, fun, frolic, challenges, a few pints, a few smokes, pinballing, miniature golf, golf, disagreements, reconciliations, weddings, family, parents, deep conversations and foremost, undiminished friendship. I miss you my friend. When we were 15 years of age or so we would meet weeknights at Triffo’s Grocery, in Fort Garry and walk to The Fort Garry Pool Hall. Smoking and chatting, 25 cents burning a hole in each of our pockets, on our way to play pinball. The stories the conversations during those long walks home were rich and creative. The thirty below zero treks were the most stimulating and rewarding. We would part at the corner on the way home, knowing we would see each other again. I will see you again my friend. Rest in peace my friend. Court & Betty Brooker - Posted by: Court (Friends) on: Apr 28, 2015
