DENISE JOHNSON (née TURCOTTE) On Friday, April 24, 2015, our Mom, Denise Johnson, passed away peacefully at the Ste-Anne Hospital, at the age of 87 years. Denise was predeceased by her husband Lucien Johnson in 1978, her daughter Koko (Claudette) Thompson in 2013, as well as her sister Odette, and two brothers, Gérard and Jean. Left to mourn her passing are her children; Rolande (Ernest), Richard (Rosanne), Liliane (Roland), Michel (Margaret), Marie (Bill), Maurice, Roger (Caroline), along with her grandchildren; Michelle, Marc (Yasmin), Lynne (Ryan), Scott, Vicky (Rey), Chantal, Nicole (Khalicia), Eric (Courtney), Steven, Spencer, Dustin, Cole and McKenna, her great-grandchildren; Ophélie, Leo, Rosalie, Abigail and Isabel. Our mother was a great caregiver to both her parents, her husband and her children. She enjoyed reading, playing Scrabble, card games and bowling with her friends. In keeping with Denise's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Catholic Church in Lorette, MB with a video tribute and eulogy 20 minutes prior. The family is thankful for the special care and attention provided by Sr. Rioux and the exceptional staff at Ste-Anne Hospital. We also want to express our gratitude to "les filles au Pavillon à Villa Youville" for the kindness and the fantastic care given to our precious Mom while she was living there. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denise's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU & CO.
