MURIEL MARIE BOND, SFO (nee HAWLEY) June 19, 1939 - April 24, 2015 After a prolonged illness, Muriel Bond passed away at the age of 75 years. Muriel was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. Survived by her children, John (Wayne), Bazil (Michelene), Heidi (Klaus), and William; grandchildren, James, Keenan, Stuart and Kendra; as well as, sisters Anne, Helen and brother William; also numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Margaret Hawley and Basil Hawley, sister Elaine Brown, and brother Thomas Hawley, and former husband John Eveligh Bond. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order Of Eagles Club No. 3870 located at 3459 Pembina Hwy. Many thanks to the staff on 4B ward at St. Boniface Hospital for all their care and compassion during Muriel's illness. Muriel joined the Secular Franciscan Order and was an active member for more than 15 years. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to and kindly accepted at the Winnipeg Humane Society.
