GEORGE BANMAN 1914 2015 George Banman entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour with family by his side on April 27, 2015 at Salem Home in Winkler, MB. George was born March 29, 1914 to Henry and Helena Banman of Winkler. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour in 1937. George was married to Mary Wiebe on October 10, 1937. George and Mary farmed near Plum Coulee until 1970 after which they moved to Plum Coulee and later in 1993, to Winkler. George suffered a stroke in November 2010 and was hospitalized in Boundary Trails Health Centre until January 14, 2011 when he was transferred to Salem Home. He is survived by two children, Mary Anne and Harvey Unrau, Rodney and Viola Banman, five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister. He was predeceased by Mary December 29, 2006. Viewing will be (today) from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Home, 121 8th St. in Winkler and at the Chapel in Morden prior to the service. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Wiebe Funeral Chapel 1050 Thornhill St. in Morden with interment at the Bloomfield/Rosewell Cemetery.
