  • My deepest condolences to the entire family. Thinking of you Susan. Dr. Grewar was such a dedicated physician, and teacher to all. He was passionate about taking care of children in the city of Winnipeg and extending his care to the many children in Norhtern Manitoba. You will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Elaine Arbez ( Brennenstuhl) (coworker / Pediatrics St. Boniface Hospital) on: May 04, 2015

  • We are so saddened to learn we have lost our beloved pediatrician, Dr. David Grewar. My mother and I have fond memories of Dr. Grewar who remained my physician until I was well into my teens. I was very sick as a child, lots of surgeries and pneumonias, and Dr. Grewar was a real rock to my family. One night when I was 2 years old and near death he paced the floor wondering if he should call my parents to come, or wait until the morning. He waited, and I pulled through, and he spared my parents those hours of distress and heartache. That is just one instance of his profound care and concern for me, and for each of his small patients. HIs compassion and thoughtfulness was extraordinary. For years afterwards, long after I was better, we still sent Christmas cards because we remained so grateful, and wanted to let him know he remained so close in our thoughts and hearts. He retired much later than most doctors, with the drive and dedication few could muster for so long - particularly with his many journeys to the north. Dr. Grewar would always ask about my family, and my grandmother, too, who passed away in Spring of 2014 at about the same age Dr. Grewar reached. We truly love this man and are so thankful for his life. We are grateful, too, to his family for the time Dr. Grewar sacrificed with them, to support our family. Our sincere condolences to the family. May you be comforted knowing how precious he has been to us, too. What a wonderful human being. Dr. Grewar made this world so much better and helped so many. We shall not see the likes of him again. - Posted by: Veralyn Warkentin (one his many young patients) on: May 03, 2015

  • Thank you Dr. Grewar for the most high physician you were. Your manner and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten. You were there for those that could not speak for themselves and for that I give you thanks. The many nights, days, evenings that you were at the hospital with us watching the little ones and even when my children were so sick.... little Wayne, Robbie and Rodney. You and Dr. MacDonald were there for us and for them. God Bless You Fine Man and May you Now Rest In Peace in the Heavenly Kingdom of God with all the Little Ones that are there waiting for you. Your Kindness and Generosity will not go unnoticed..... Renate Gardy ( Schjerning ) - Posted by: Mrs. Renate Gardy ( nee Lohr/Schjerning ) (Co - Worker and Friend) on: May 02, 2015
