Norma was born in Teulon, Manitoba on January 30, 1949 and was the daughter of Harold and Lillian Larence (nee Lepine). On March 1, 1969 she was wed in marriage with Keith Hallett. Having a private loving marriage they created their life in Fisherton, Manitoba and raised their children Sean and Tracy. Norma was a 35 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion. She was an avid curler enjoying bonspiels and weekly curling. A favorite pastime was collecting pins, figurines and many photos. Each family or friend gathering created a mountain of photos, meticulously sorted and put into albums. Some of the happiest times were spent listening to and singing songs played on the guitar. Family time was #1 to Norma. Spending time with Tracy at weddings, socials and countless hours of shopping created a mother daughter bond like no other. Anytime anyone in the family was near Norma's heart swelled with happiness. With a strict guiding hand Norma created a relationship with Sean that turned into confidant, mentor and ultimately best friend. One of Norma's greatest joys was being a grandma. Oh, and what a grandma she was. She cherished each moment and made special connections with both Liam and Morgan. Norma's friends were very important to her, phone calls, birthdays and suppers together brought many smiles.
