ANNA SADLOWSKI It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Anna Sadlowski (nee Miklushichak) on May 8, 2015. Anna was predeceased by her husband Peter and her son Kenneth. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Diana, Judy and Barry (Beverly) and grandchildren Meagan (Justin), Patrick (Chisato), Dean, Michael (Leah), Jared and Klayton. She will live on in her great-grandchildren Layken, Nevaeh, and Memphis. Anna was born in Czechoslovakia on November 23, 1928 and came to Canada by ship from France in 1936 with her parents, two sisters and a brother. They settled in the Willow Creek area of Manitoba and that is where Anna met and married Peter to whom she was married for 67 years. Anna spent her life raising her children at home in Selkirk. She was a wonderful cook and mother. No sooner would someone come to visit the family than the table became the site of a feast! Many hours were spent around the kitchen table discussing the latest news, enjoying good food, and if time permitted, having a game of cribbage. Anna enjoyed a full and busy life that included everything from being an active member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League in her younger years to travelling with Peter in her later years. Whatever Anna was up to, nothing was more important than family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, 276 Hugo Street North, Winnipeg R3M 2N6 in honour of the exceptional care that Baba received, especially in her final days. A celebration of Anna's life will take place on Friday, May 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, MB. Honorary pallbearers are Dean Grande, Jack and Patrick McNeill, Michael, Jared and Klayton Sadlowski and Justin Funke. I will always remember Auntie Anna's smile and big heart. It was always such a treat to visit her and uncle Pete and enjoy wonderful food, especially her incredible Paprika Soup and delicious cheesecakes. Visiting at the Winnipeg Beach cottage was also such a treat, and again, more wonderful food. She was one of my favorites and I hope she is enjoying the time she now has with Peter, Sophie, Violet, Johnny, Kenneth, and her parents. - Posted by: Shirley Dudeck (Niece) on: May 19, 2015

My condolences to Barry and Bev, his family and sisters for their loss. Anna was one of my favorite aunts and best cook ever! Her husband Peter had an amazing memory for telling jokes. May they both rest in peace. - Posted by: David Dudeck (Nephew) on: May 19, 2015
