Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKURT OTTO SCHEITOR August 23, 1946 - May 11, 2015 Suddenly but peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, Kurt passed away at the Brandon Regional Hospital on Monday, May 11, 2015. He leaves to mourn his wife Phyllis, his sons Doug (Kim), Chris (Karri), Phyllis' children Richard (Maren) and Carrie (Stephen). He was Opa to Kaitlyn, Ryland, Scottie, Maddie, Nolan, Aimee, Taylor and Rylan. He is survived by his sisters Christel and Lori, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents (Otto and Olga) and his sister Ursula. Kurt had many passions in life. They included watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He was passionate about hockey and soccer at all levels, which included coaching his boys when they were young. He had a huge passion for gardening, bird watching and his dogs. Going out to the lake on the weekends and fishing was one of the ways he loved to spend his time. Kurt and Phyllis enjoyed packing up their camping gear and bikes looking forward to their next adventure together. Kurt (Opa) will be remembered for his wittiness, and his charm. We are grateful for the caregivers at the Brandon Regional Hospital. Their compassion and care for Kurt was overwhelming, as well as the support they gave to our family was simply amazing. We will celebrate Kurt's life at a private gathering. In lieu of flower donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6. So many great memories of fun times together when our families were both young, and the many hilarious MCA dog club meetings and dog shows we were part of, back in the '70's and '80's. You will be dearly missed, Kurt, but our memories of you will live on. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Robbie Bobby (cousin) on: May 14, 2015
