Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIOLET BERTHA PAULISHYN (PAULSON) The family of Violet Bertha Paulishyn (Paulson) (nee Bromley) give thanks to our Lord for the long life of our mother. Violet is survived by her children Bill (Margaret), Grace Kenjak, and Ed (Fran), and a sister Grace Dodds. Waiting for her are her husband Bill, her parents Eve and Frank Bromley, sisters Dorothy (Quail), Ivy (Beghin), and brother Frank Jr. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Thomas Kenjak, Robyn (Brent Tocher), Clint (Jen), Kelly (Chris) and Bradley Paulishyn, great-grandchildren Riley Paulishyn, Mackenzie (Clark), Kayden, Hayden, Daylen and Callum Paulishyn, Helen Marsh a special godchild, and many nieces and nephews. Violet was born on January 21, 1919 in Transcona. She was proud of her birth certificate which was number eight in the Town of Transcona where she was a resident for 96 years prior to moving to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. She attended school on the South Side before moving to the North Side where she attended Central School. At the age of 16 she lost her mother and then kept house for her father until she was married on November 25, 1939. She passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015. Throughout her life Violet was a member of St. Georges Anglican Church, sang in the choir, and became a member of the Women's Auxiliary, evening branch. Her loyalty to the church was evident in her friendship with the ladies. She was the oldest member of her church. Her love of flowers, her skill at sewing, embroidery, and bread making gave her hours of satisfaction. Friends and family know of her great love and support of them. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren are dearly loved. Funeral service will be held at Wheeler Funeral Home in Transcona at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Flowers are graciously declined. Donations may be made to St. Georges Anglican Church, Transcona, Feed My Lambs or a charity of your choice.
