Laurie could brighten any dark day with her unique personality and humor. She showed us that even bad moods can turn around quickly with a smile and some patience. The world would be a better place if we were all like Laurie. I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to meet Laurie and have her as part of my life the last two years. Thank you for sharing your spirit with everyone around you, Laurie, I will miss you and remember you always. - Posted by: Terri (Support Worker at Roblin) on: May 31, 2015

I met Laurie while teaching yoga for Prairie Places. I was entertained by this very sweet woman who would signal me to come over and then challenge me to thumb fight. Aside from her so many other endearing qualities I will miss holding her incredibly soft hands. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. - Posted by: Gail Gagne (Friend) on: May 21, 2015

Dear family and friends, Very sorry for your loss. I was part of a group of parents, including your mother Margaret, who worked to establish Prairie Places. I had met Laurie at many gatherings. My son David is also a resident of Prairie Places. Joanne and David Prokopow - Posted by: Joanne Prokopow (Friend) on: May 21, 2015

Laurie was full of life and charisma. She had a way of attracting people to her through her smile and playful personality. Each time you saw her she made you feel special and welcome, and that the connection that the two of you had was unique and important to her. Her light blowing in your ear and counting each the buttons on your top could make a bad day instantly brighter. Thank you Laurie for being my friend, you have left a forever heart print on me which I will cherish forever. I send my condolences to Dawn and your family in Ontario. - Posted by: Quinn Adams-Sneisen (Friend) on: May 21, 2015
