NANCY BRUCE It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Carol Bruce, our beloved daughter, wife, mother and friend. Nancy is survived by her mom, Joyce Lewis, her husband, Blaine Bruce, her three daughters, Stacey, Kelsey, Lindsay, Lindsay's partner, Raegan Scott, and her scruffy, little, friend, Sandy. Nancy was predeceased by her granny, Jonena Weakley (Thorlakson), "Granny Great", and her dad, Harold Lewis, "Papa". Nancy was born and raised in Winnipeg, where she met the love of her life, Blaine. They moved from their first home together in Gimli to Regina. They remained in Saskatchewan, moving from community to community for 26 years, raising their three daughters along the way. They left Humboldt, for Emerson, which brought them closer to home and, more importantly, closer to the place that truly had Nancy's heart, the cottage in Matlock. Nancy and Blaine's most recent residence was in Ile de Chenes, in their new condo, which they both truly enjoyed. Her girls were lucky in that she chose to be at home with them. The family spent their days laughing, playing and dancing. Nancy will be remembered for her infinite kindness, endless positivity and selflessness beyond measure. She was an amazing daughter, wife and mom. She will be greatly missed. Nancy's celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Winnipeg Humane Society or The Lake Winnipeg Foundation. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715

It is with great sadness to hear of Nancy's passing. Will miss her great sense of humour, love and friendship. Nancy was no doubt a special person in many ways and family was a priority for her. We are shocked by Nancy's passing. She was a lovely lady who always had a smile when passing by our home. She liked walking to the beach with her daughter or jointly walking her doggy with Blaine. The community has lost a precious gem. God be with all of the family. - Posted by: Linda & Dave Gillis (neighbors in Matlock) on: May 27, 2015
