KENNETH CHARLES DAVIES It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Ken. He passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the age of 68. Before his passing, he always said, "I've had a good ride". Ken was born September 30, 1946 and attended Provencher School in St. Boniface, MB. He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 50 years, Jeanine "Nini" (née Eugenie Fortier), daughter Darlene (Phil) Tousignant, son Scott, grandchildren Caitlyn, Gage, and Jade, and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents Delia and Charles. Ken was employed by Schneider's and Maple Leaf and entered into retirement when he was just 57 years old. He enjoyed his cars and motorcycle and, especially, riding with his friend Barry. He loved listening to his music - particularly The Beatles, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin - with his friends and family. In keeping with Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating his life will be held at St. Gerard Parish, 45 Foster Street in Winnipeg on Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 am. A private burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU & CO. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Nini & family... You may recall that I lived with Kenny and mom Delia (Deede) on Louis Riel Street in St. Boniface in the early 60's. As we often do at this age, and looking back, I remember those days with great fondness, and your wedding day. Life took us on different paths but I have never forgotten those days. • My sympathies to the family. I never did meet Kenny but I heard a lot about him. Auntie Dicki and Uncle Charlie were my godparents and my father's as well. Auntie loved you Kenny very much and she will be at peace to have you by her side again. - Posted by: Anita Funk (far cousin) on: Jun 03, 2015
