HELEN FRIESEN (nee GOERTZEN) Helen Friesen (nee Goertzen), of Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB formerly of Holland, MB, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015, at the Foyer Notre Dame in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB at the age of 104 years. Left to mourn Helen's passing are her daughters Marlies Friesen of Holland, MB and Terry Preston of Bellingham, WA, son Norm (Myrna) Friesen of Sidney, BC, foster son Frankie Nielands of Holland, MB, grandchildren Marni (Mike), Joel, Vicki (David) and Pamela (Wayne), great-grandchildren Nikki, Shane and Katie (Yohn) and great-great-grandchildren Madison, Sebastian, Leland and Hazel. Also left to mourn Helen's passing are her brother Jack (Stephanie) Goertzen and sister-in-law Dorothy Goertzen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband Jack Friesen, her parents, sisters Nettie (Jack), Betty (Art) and Kay (Griff), and brothers Henry (Ellie), Frank and Bill. A private family service will be held at a later date.
