MARIE ELIN FIELDING-BOYCHUK (nee GOODMAN) May 20, 1953 - June 7, 2015 Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Marie passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, after a six year battle with Multiple Myeloma, at the age of 62 years. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her beloved husband Ron; daughter Danielle (Shane); son Jared (Donna); stepdaughters, Jill and Jackie (Jim); stepson Jamie (Shannon); sister Jo-Anne (Jim); grandchildren, Gage, Colton, Paige, Jayce, Keerstin, Ayden, Avery, Kyan, Kendra, Emily, Reece, Sarah, Mackenzie, Hannah, Madeline, Sophie; great-grandchild Aria, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and close dear friends. Marie was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Ella. One of Marie's greatest enjoyments was spending time with her love, Ron, at their second home down in Texas where they travelled, golfed and simply relaxed. Family was very important to Marie and always came first. You could count on her to be there for you, especially for her children and grandchildren. She always put others needs before her own and was one of a kind. Those that knew her also knew that she could be feisty and ornery, and she was, right to the end. She was an amazing, wonderful woman who accepted everyone as they were. Marie's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital, the CancerCare Unit, and Health Sciences Centre, for their care and compassion throughout her journey. In keeping with Marie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial reception celebrating her life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Manitoba Renal Program or CancerCare Manitoba. Until we meet again, rest in peace. We will love you forever and always. It's been 72 days since the day you decided that you could no longer fight the battle. Not a day goes past that I don't think about you and how I truly miss the conversations we always had. I still feel lost and torn knowing that I can never see you or hear your voice again. I miss you more than anyone can imagine. LOVE ALWAYS AND FOREVER YOUR SON JARED! Dear Ron, Jamie, Joanne, Danielle, Jared and the rest of the family. My very deep condolences for your loss. Marie was always a "scrapper" - we used to call her that growing up for all the right reasons! And her past few years have proven it was a great name for her. She put up a huge fight and thanks to all your love, she had many additional enjoyable moments. She'll be missed but never forgotten by us all. Best regards, Laurie and Ken - Posted by: Laurie Hillis (Friend) on: Jun 10, 2015
