Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY STRODIAN LIASHENKO (EVANS) February 13, 1935 - June 25, 2015 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary Liashenko on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Meadowood Manor, at the age of 80 years. Mary was predeceased by her son Robert Lawrence Evans, granddaughter Allison Cote, and her husband Bill Liashenko. Mom will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children: Donna Watson, Patricia Lafreniere, Ginny (Danny) Labossiere, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Mary was born and raised in Surrey, England and moved to Canada where she spent her life working as a nurse. Mom was an artist and enjoyed painting in her free time, she also loved to fish and won several awards for Sturgeon Fishing on the Fraser River. In keeping with Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU & CO.
