Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GLOVER (nee HUMNISKI) September 19, 1917 - June 28, 2015 On Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Holy Family Home, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, passed away peacefully at the age of 97, in the presence of her brother and sister-in-law. She was predeceased by her husbands, Nick Mack and Peter Glover; parents, Tekla and Basil Humniski; stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Betty) Reid; son-in-law, Jack Reid and brothers, Vladimir and Joseph Humniski. Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter Jeannette (Garry); and sons, Mel (Rose), Gary (Donna); her brothers, Deacon Victor (Mary) and Dan; grandchildren, Keith, Lisa, Adam, Nathan and David; Myrna Humniski; Lois Greenhill and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Winnipeg on September 19, 1917. She completed her schooling in Winnipeg and held various positions in her working life, including work at North West Bakery and Middlechurch Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church and of the Apostleship of Prayer. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, baking, knitting and crocheting. Mary had a smile that could light up a room and she enjoyed family gatherings and spending time at Victor's cabin at Winnipeg Beach. She had resided at Holy Family Home for four years. Special thanks to the staff at Holy Family for their constant care and compassion during Mary's stay and to doctors Terry and Andrea Babick for their excellent care. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lubov Foundation, designated to Holy Family Home or to a charity of your choice.
