MARYON (JEAN) ROBINSON It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maryon (Jean) Robinson on June 28, 2015, peacefully after a short illness. Jean is survived by her two sons, Dale (Stephanie), granddaughter Seanna; and Greg (Sharon), grandson Clayton and great-grandson Keenan. Jean was predeceased by her parents Vera and Henry Dipple, husband Clarence (Clank) Robinson and granddaughter Ashley Robinson. Jean was born in Sanford, Manitoba on August 9, 1926. She moved to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Jean taught school in the Winnipeg No. 1 School Division until she retired. Jean and Clank spent many years at their cottage in the Lac Du Bonnet area. She loved to travel and went on many trips with her family and grandchildren. Jean volunteered for over 50 years at the Earl Grey Community Club where she made many lifelong friends. Jean was a long time resident of the Earl Grey area and developed close relationships with many of her neighbors. A private family service will be held. We want to thank the staff on the 5th floor of the Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, please donate to an organization of your choice. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Memories of my visits with Jean and Clank with my husband, Claude, have brought a smile and laughter to me. They visited us here in the state of Washington a number of times. They enjoyed the walks on the beach here. Jean, Clank and Claude are together drinking beer. - Posted by: Mary Ellen Langridge (cousin) on: Jul 11, 2015

  • Our condolences to Dale, Greg and their families. Mrs. Robinson was a lovely person who always had time for you. Thanks for sharing with us. - Posted by: Bev Phelan and Bob Brocklehurst (friend) on: Jul 06, 2015

  • I am saddened by the passing of your mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jean was a very special woman and I am happy that I met her. We met at the community center many years ago and became instant friends. She was such a caring person and always enquired as to how I was doing. Even when my sister and I went to visit her in the hospital she was more concerned on how we were doing. She always thought of the other person first . . . Her eyes lit up when her granddaughter came to visit her. You could feel the love in the room. Jean, you will be deeply missed by your many friends. Fly with the angels and rest peacefully. With love, Sandy and Diane - Posted by: Sandy Jones (Friend) on: Jul 04, 2015
