Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALETTA (LETTIE) OTTE (nee DRILLING) September 7, 1938 - July 4, 2015 Born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Lettie married the love of her life on March 17, 1960. Bob (Barend) and Lettie immigrated to Canada three days later to start their new life together here in Manitoba. Lettie was a loving mother and wife. She loved being at their cottage at Wallace Lake and sitting on the deck listening to music. She loved flowers and watching the birds at the feeders. The best times were spent with friends enjoying a glass of wine, laughing and playing Tri-ominos. She also loved the years they were snowbirds and went down south to Texas where they enjoyed dancing and getting together with friends in the park. After a lengthy fight with several health issues, Lettie lost her battle, surrounded by loved ones, at the Concordia Hospital the morning of July 4, 2015. Lettie is survived by her loving husband Bob, and their children Frank (Donna), Mark (Maggie), and Mike (Suzanne), as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thank you to the staff of the Concordia and St. Boniface Hospitals for their ongoing care during her battle. In keeping with Lettie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Friends and family are welcome to sign the book of condolences at ejcoutu.com In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Aletta may be made to a charity of one's choice. E.J. Was so sorry to find out of Lettie's passing. Dorothy and Kenneth cherished the time spent with her and Bob in Texas as well. I know they would have wanted to be there for your family as they did love you both! Much love and condolences from them through their daughter! - Posted by: Patti Slentz (Daughter of friends Dorothy and Kenneth Slentz) on: Apr 29, 2017
