Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE (ROSIE) BECK Rose (Rosie) Beck, 84, of Winnipeg, Manitoba (formerly of Gilbert Plains, Manitoba) has passed away, July 7, 2015 at Grace Hospital, Winnipeg. Born November 7, 1930 in Gilbert Plains, Rose was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Bill Sanko, and her husband of 48 years, Walter Beck. Rose is survived by her son, Terry (Winnipeg/San Pedro, Belize), daughter-in-law, Selina, grandson, Chris and her daughter Donna (Winnipeg), son-in-law, Todd, grandson, Carter, and her two grand doggies, Axel and Harley. Grandma/Mom/Rose loved her family and friends, great robust conversation, card and dice games, reading, current events, gardening, cooking, her beloved Winnipeg Jets (She was so proud of them), and laughing hard on our Tiki Hut at Lilac. She was a lady, kind and witty as ever to the end. We miss you Momma and will continue to celebrate your life through the telling of awesome fun Rosie stories. Per her request, private family services will be held at a later date in Gilbert Plains. I will always remember Aunt Rosie as the best baker in the world. When we were kids and we would visit she had so many goodies made. I love to bake and maybe I got that gift from her. Time goes by and we lose track of our families, but the memories of growing up are always in our hearts. From the praises I have heard from Terry and the tributes I have read from Terry and a great many friends about Mom Rose (Rosie) Beck, its easy to appreciate what son Terry stated; "she was an awesome lady". I wish I had had the opportunity to meet Mrs Beck.
