WILLIAM LESLIE (LES) CHARLES On July 14, 2015, at the age of 90 years, Les passed away at Betel Home Foundation in Selkirk, Manitoba. Born on February 14, 1925, on the family farm in the RM of Blanshard near Cardale, Manitoba, to his parents Tom and Florence (Turner) Charles. Les spent the formative years of his life in the Blanshard area where he began developing mechanical skills that served him well throughout the working years of his life. In the early 1950s, Les moved to Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba where he lived and worked for the rest of his life. Les is survived by his sister Dorothy Stiles, and preceded in death by his wife, Alice, sister Blanche (Hanson), and brothers Gordon and Sid. Les will be remembered as an independent man with a lively sense of humour who loved to tell jokes. Cremation has taken place and Les' ashes will be interred with his late wife Alice at the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
