Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHILIP MICHALOWSKI June 10, 1929 - August 1, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Philip Michalowski on August 1, 2015 at Concordia Place Personal Care Home at the age of 86 years. Philip was predeceased by his wife Anna (Honey) Michalowski; parents John and Anne Miczalowski; sister Alice (John) Bukurak; two brothers, Wally and James Miczalowski. Left to cherish Philip's memory are his sister-in-law Mary, nephew Gerry Bukurak, nieces Debbie Teffaine and Jannie Kazimir, numerous family, and good friend John Lazarenko. Philip grew up in Arborg, MB and lived there with his mother. Philip enjoyed playing the accordion at local dances. Philip moved to Winnipeg where he met and married Anna. He worked for the City of Winnipeg on the asphalt crew. The family wishes to thank, his sister-in-law Cathy and her son Allan and all those who visited with Philip at the hospital and nursing home. We would also like to thank the staff at Concordia Place fourth floor for all their care and compassion and Chaplin Jerry for his kind words and support. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street at 10:00 a.m. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Phillip's memory to the heart and stroke foundation.
