A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. I will always remember a group of us walking up the street from our DS Lea offices after work on Fridays to play pool and have a few drinks at the Shark Club. Dave was always the leader and enjoyed his cigars. I really appreciated the natural and kind way that he related to the young engineers including myself. He was a gentleman and a great role model. It was a privilege knowing and working with David. I'll remember him for his wonderful nature and brilliant mind. He was generous too. Dave had a quick wit, loved to laugh, and that twinkle in his eyes barely concealed a mischievous quality that made him fun to work and associate with. Although Dave was more often than not the "smartest guy in the room," he didn't feel the need to prove it. He kept is ego in check at all times. His modesty and lack of pretension were refreshing, and the mark of a real gentleman in the old school tradition. David, I'm glad our paths intersected in this lifetime.
