Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELISABETH AKKERMAN Elisabeth Akkerman was surrounded by her family when she peacefully passed away at the age of 98 on July 12, 2015 at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. She will be missed by her daughters Bea, Niki (David), son Paul (Starla), eight grand-children, eight great-grandchildren and her sisters Im and Annie and other Dutch relatives and friends in Holland and Canada. 'Oma' was predeceased by her beloved husband John, daughter Elisabeth, son John and granddaughter Jennifer Dennehy. A Celebration of Oma's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Fort Gary United Church, 800 Point Road with the Reverend Min-Goo Kang officiating. As with Oma's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to a charity of your choice. I knew Elizabeth and her daughter Bea from Golden Door. What a lovely lady, so charming, graceful and always smiling. We all spent a lot of time together during lunches, dinners and entertainment and always enjoyed each other's company. Bea, my sympathy to you and family. I know how much you will miss your mom but knowing that she is with your dad will give you comfort.
