Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERARD (GERRY) LEON VERMETTE May 15, 1922 - August 18, 2015 It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Gerry Vermette on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at the age of 93, at the Victoria Hospital surrounded by his beloved family. Left to cherish his memory are his four children: Marlene (Lucien), Louise (Leo), Carole (Felix) and David (Susan), his grandchildren Bob (Teresa), Debra, Gerald (Susan), Kim (Adrian), Suzanne (Kevin), Brianna (Kyle) and Cynthia (Matthew). He was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his home care nurse, Traci F. who he enjoyed seeing everyday. She added a little sunshine to his life. As well many thanks to Dad's family doctor, Dr. F. Salem and all of the staff on the Cardiac Ward at the Victoria Hospital who were all so very kind and compassionate during his very short stay. As per Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. We were all so blessed to have you in our lives. You truly will be missed by all of your family. Happy that you and Mom are "Back Together Again Forever!" We all have a very special place in our hearts and all love you so very much. God Bless and Rest in Peace Dad. What a wonderful, kind, loving man Gerry was. I feel so honoured and blessed to have known him and loved him. I will think of you often Gerry, some of my fondest memories are from our golfing days.
