Throughout the years with the government he also taught at the University of Manitoba teaching dairy food sciences. After his retirement, Bob kept connected with the people he worked with throughout the years, as many people relied on his wealth of knowledge, always being happy to accept a phone call having to do with the dairy industry. He loved to do this by spending time on his computer sending and receiving emails and family pictures as well as reading the Ontario newspapers online. He enjoyed spending his summer afternoons in the garden or working on different projects in the shed with his friends. Bob loved his family, his work, and living in Manitoba.
