PAUL JOSEPH ALFRED VINET It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our courageous husband, father, brother and friend, Paul Vinet, 'Hoss' on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at home. Paul was predeceased by his parents Frank and Jeanne Vinet, brother Raymond Vinet, mother and father-in-law Paul and Mary Felawka and sister-in-law Valerie Healey. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Diana (Pienkowski), son Daniel and daughter Carolyn. Also mourning his passing are brother Gilbert, brother Ronald (Marie), sister Patricia (Adrien), sister-in-law Margaret Vinet and sister-in-law Gay Courtice (Bill). He will sadly be missed by nephews Joel, Robert, Marc and Lance and nieces Sarah, Katie, Joanne, Charlotte, Jackie and Dara along with their family members. Paul was born in St. Pierre, MB, and grew up playing hockey and socializing with his many friends. Those who knew Hoss, knew him as a good natured, happy man ready to crack a joke at any time, even if the joke was older than him. Many happy years were spent outdoors camping, fishing, golfing and collecting too many baseball hats. Laughter and stories were made at the cottage with his family and friends over many summers. No matter where the Vinets were, Paul was always quick to make friends with neighbours and those around him. His working years were spent in the lumber and window industry and directly with mentally challenged individuals. Paul made a lasting impression on those around him. A celebration of Paul's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. A special thank you to Larry, Gilles, Rick, Harold and their families, along with The Turski family for all their love and support. Many thanks to all of our home care staff who made Paul's last few months a little more enjoyable. Paul loved his family and friends, just as much we loved him. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Diabetes Association of Manitoba, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 0S6. • We not only lost a great brother in law, we lost a great friend. Many great memories of our brother in law during our family events and on the farm, when he was christened into our family. He fit like a glove into our family and he will be truly missed by all of us here. Memories will keep his spirit alive, but our hearts will be heavy for a long time. Will miss our many conversations that we had over the years.
