ROSE MARIE BONNEAU (nee DORGE) It is with deep sadness we announce that our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rose, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husband Celestin, her daughter Nicole (LaFrance) and several brothers and sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory son Pierre (Diana), son-in-law Roger, sisters Alice and Kay (Brian), grandchildren Alana (Geoff), Tracey (Kurt), Michael (Julie), Danielle (Caio), Janet (Chris) and seven great-grandchildren. A special thank you to the Poseidon Care Center, 3rd Floor doctors, nurses and staff for their kindness, compassion, consideration and care for Rose during her stay there, especially her remaining days, which was extended to the family. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the charity of one's choice.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I was thinking of her often over the last while, but didn't know where she was. Life gets complicated some days and there was no one like your Mom that I had in my life - she was so kind, understanding and always had a way of giving tips to living your life. A strong woman I admired so much; my kids cherished her; they always felt so welcome in your mom's presence. I enjoyed my visits with her and she would always make us lunch. We shared many laughs and many quiet moments. She introduced me to Helen Van Slyke books and she tried her best to help me follow a crochet pattern. I remember when I showed up for a visit with my hair almost pink; and her face when she saw it and all she said was "I don't like it". We shared many laughs, and many quiet moments. Being in your mom's presence was so warm and caring; she had the patience of an Angel. I will miss her dearly. xoxo Dianne - Posted by: Dianne Lapsley (friend ) on: Sep 28, 2015

  • Oh... mémère! I already miss you SO MUCH! There will always be a spot in my heart and my memories that is especially for you. I will miss your stories of the past, your funny quips, your sucre à la crème and your saucy attitude. I never knew someone your age who swore as much as you did! I`ll miss coming to see you and getting all the latest family news. I will especially miss your smile, warm heart and support. I love you so much, and was lucky to have had a grandmother like you for as long as I did. But I know you were ready. Take care of my mom up there. - Posted by: Janet (Grand Daughter) on: Sep 01, 2015

  • First of all our sincere condolences (Marcel, Deb and Shelby) to Aunty Rose's family. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered...her warm smile...her kind demeanor and...those delicious giant pancakes rolled in brown sugar that she used to make me when my Mom and I would visit her and Granny on Fridays. - Posted by: Marcel Perreault (Nephew) on: Aug 22, 2015
