ROLAND ARTHUR JOSEPH COLLETTE April 3, 1926 - August 21, 2015 Peacefully on August 21, 2015, Roland Collette passed away at the Repos Jolys Personal Care Home in St. Pierre Jolys, Manitoba at the age of 89 years. He is survived by Vivienne (nee Bourgeois), his children: Aurèle (Patty), Solange (Gérald) Lapointe, Jacques (Heather), Luc (Jacqueline), Louis, daughter-in-law Murielle, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren (plus two on the way), brothers: Marcel (Florence), Antonio (Denise), Gilles (Gisèle), his sister Gisèle (Alain) Labossière, and numerous nieces and nephews. Roland was predeceased by his son René and his brother Roger. Roland was well known in the St. Jean area as the Sun Valley Co-op petroleum truck driver. Upon retirement he vastly enjoyed helping out with seeding and harvest. He was a great help to his children for any carpentry project. No challenge was a defeat. He also enjoyed gardening and maintaining his yard. The funeral for Roland Collette will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place in the Parish Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Repos Jolys for their excellent care over the past seven years. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Roland may be made to the Parkinson Society of Canada or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Il laisse aussi ses frères, soeur et plusieurs neveux et nièces. Roland a été precédé par son fils René et son frère Roger.
