EVA MAH After a lengthy illness, Eva Mah passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 50. Eva was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and lived there all her life. Her charming smile and engaging ways endeared her to those who knew her. Eva was predeceased by her father, Wing Yan, and grandmother, Fay Shoo. She leaves behind her two brothers, Kenneth and Peter, her brother-in-law, Bernard Royer, and her foster parents, Loretta and Wayne Kessler, and their family, who nurtured and loved her as their own for 18 years. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Brookside Cemetery on Saturday, September 5, 2015, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street. The family wishes to thank Dr. Anne Kong, the nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, and St. Joseph's Residence for taking care of Eva. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given in Eva's memory to Salvation Army Community Venture, 1350 Church Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2X 1G4. Eva, you left too soon, but we take comfort in knowing that you went to a peaceful place. You take our love with you, and we keep you in our hearts forever.
