DOROTHY STEWART It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the loss of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy Stewart (nee Scott), who passed away August 29, 2015 at the Emerson Personal Care Home. Left to mourn is her dear husband Chester, of 69 years, sons Glenn (Carmen), Dave (Carol), and Donovan (Barb), grandchildren Chad, Tammy, Troy, Sean, Brett, Scott and Tori, and great-grandchildren Makayla, Brady, Brooklyn, Mia, Sophie, Tyler, Max, Chloe, Alyssa, Mason, Carl, and Keira. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Will and Annie Scott, sisters Eleanor and husband Orin, Lorraine and husband Jim, brother Donald, sister-in-law Theresa Scott, brother-in-law Clarence Weiss, niece Jennifer, and granddaughter Jodie. Dorothy's teaching career spanned 40 years, mostly in Dominion City. Her involvement in the church included teaching Sunday School, and member of United Church Women and Women's Institute. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Emerson Personal Care Home. Celebration of Life will be held at the Dominion City United Church, Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dominion City United Church.
