He is survived by the joys of his life his sons Jesse and Sean (their mom Nancy), his mother Doris, brother Evan (Sara), sister Connie (Mack), half sisters Linda, Diane and Gaetane, also left to mourn are his nephews and nieces, uncle and aunts and many cousins. Lorne was predeceased by his father (2008). Lorne was born the second of three children to Arthur and Doris Michaud in Winnipeg, MB. His dad being an Iron worker all his life, his family would call many towns home during the earlier years. At the young age of 16 Lorne left his family behind and moved to Vancouver and within a few months later he moved to Winnipeg and called it home. He met Nancy and they married August 22, 1986 and after spending a few years enjoying married life they were blessed with Jesse in 1990 and Sean in 1994. Lorne had an amazing "Big Heart" and loved his boys and his family with his entire soul with his mom being a true grounding force for him over the last few years. Lorne had an amazing work ethic and he was so proud of his Sheet Metal career. It would take him all over Western Canada and over the years he had completed many projects that has changed the landscape of Western Canada for many companies. He could spend many hours talking about every little job detail, about all his projects and he was honoured to be a member of the Sheet Metal Union for 34 years. This is where he had met many men that became his TRUE friends. Those men gave him many nicknames, one of them being "Candy Man". He loved candy, nuts and junk food and he always kept candy in his pockets which he gave away to his co-workers. He loved his work but he was looking forward to his retirement in three years. He was a man that had great love for music and dancing. He loved classic rock and blues music and everyone was aware of his fancy dance moves. Lorne was also an amazing cook and put creativity and passion into each and every dish. His true love for sports was something he shared with both of his sons. He would spend as much time as possible watching many of his favourite sport teams. Hockey, football, basketball and baseball were his biggest love next only to his sons. He had an amazing smile, when he smiled his blue eyes would sparkle like diamonds and his laugh was heartwarming. The Michaud family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and give thanks to Lorne's special friends Darryl and Jeff for being there for Lorne's boys during this difficult time.
