GEORGE EDWARD DANNEELS Peacefully, on September 17, 2015, George Danneels passed away at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 77 years. He will be missed by his beloved wife of 50 years, Evelyn Danneels (née Petit) and their children Marcel (Carole), Wayne (Lisa) and eight beautiful grandchildren. George lived his whole life on a farm in the community of Ile des Chênes where he met the love of his life Evelyn. He enjoyed farming with his father and then with his wife and sons. George was proud of his family, took pride in his crops, his weed-free garden, and his well-trained pets. With all his family living close by, George always enjoyed the many visits of his grandchildren and children. He also enjoyed the visits of nearby farmers, friends and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of George to the Manitoba Lung Association. The family would like to offer a special thank you and appreciation to Dr. Salem and the fourth floor staff at Victoria General Hospital for the kindness and care of George. In keeping with George's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Miséricorde Church in Ile-des-Chênes, with Father René Chartier presiding. In keeping with George's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the Notre-Dame-de-la-Miséricorde Roman Catholic Church, Ile des Chênes, MB.
