Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILE (KING) PAINCHAUD Peacefully, at the Victoria General Hospital on Monday, September 21, 2015, Emile (King) Painchaud of Fannystelle, MB, passed away at the age of 78 years. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 51 years, Florence (née Demers); two children, Marc (Audrey) and Lynne (Joe). He also leaves to mourn three brothers, Noel (Doris), Gilles (Aline) and Lorrain (Elva); as well as two sisters-in-law, Rita Painchaud and Juliette Painchaud and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Emile was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Annette Painchaud; brothers, Henri, Maurice; and a sister Raymonde (Jules) Ménard. Beside his family, farming was his life. In later years, he enjoyed fishing and going camping. As soon as the snow started flying, he headed south to his winter home in Mesa, Arizona. We were very fortunate to enjoy 26 wonderful years going there. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Fannystelle, MB on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Armand Le Gal and Father Lawrence Chibue Agorchukwu officiating. Interment will take place after Mass in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 52 Dovercourt Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4 or Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. I loved spending time at the Painchaud house growing up. King would be sure to straighten us out if we got out of line and he always made sure that we made it home safely. We would have a great breakfast the next morning while Mr. & Mrs. Painchaud sat with us and listened to our latest and greatest adventures. They were genuinely interested and it showed.
