JOAN BRANDSON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Joan Brandson at St. Boniface Hospital on September 23, 2015 at the age of 83 years old. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Kelly (Judi), Steven (Lora), Dan (Janice), Carl (Laura); grandchildren: Erin (Keir), Caitlin (Jeremiah), Christina, Melissa, Jamie, and Carly; great-grandchildren: Maia, Elliot, Ruari, Caius, and Chloe. She will also be remembered by her sister-in-law Elsie Robson, brother-in-law Kelly Brandson (Sharon) and many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her husband Magnus Brandson, sisters Rene, Florence, and Betty, and dear friend Dennis. Joan and Mike were together for over 40 years, raising a family of four boys in a home that Mike built in Windsor Park. Once her sons were older, Joan returned to the workforce as an administrator for the John Howard Society. Joan loved her summers spent at the Lake of the Woods with Mike and the growing family. She cherished her time spent with the bridge club, and was an avid sports fan following tennis and curling. Mom especially enjoyed the many trips taken to Florida and Hawaii with family and friends. Very recently the family spent time together in Arizona, creating memories that will last forever. Mom will be missed dearly. A Memorial Reception will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
