ARTHUR (ART) MINER Art passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Born on October 1, 1939 in Latvia, he was predeceased by his parents Rudolf and Elfriede, and brother Helmut. Art immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1958. Together with his wife Hildegard (predeceased 2006) they learned English, were members of the German Club, built a home in Windsor Park and a cottage at Wallace Lake where he spent many happy, quiet times with Hilda and their son Ralf. A machinist by trade, Art ended his career after several good years at Dynamic Machine. Art was very proud of his boy Ralf. Along with his wife Jill and children Alexander and Connor, Ralf will miss his Pop. Art once said, "I'm very happy and content with my life and with what I've achieved. What I'm most proud of is my family, what I built and what I achieved being here." Well said and well done! After suffering a stroke seven years ago, Art became a resident of Beacon Hill Lodge. Ralf would like to thank the staff for their kindness and caring of his Pop. Cremation has occurred and no formal service will be held.
