  • We were saddened as were many many other people hearing of Ken's passing. He was such a warm , gentle and caring person. He had a way to engage you in conversation and to make you feel that what you were saying was very important. His keen sense of humour would always lighten up the conversation. People found Ken approachable and caring and very much appreciated knowing him. He will be sorely missed by everyone but especially by his family. - Posted by: Ron & Bonnie Guarino () on: Oct 25, 2015

  • Ken: Your name has been in our family lexicon for years as a good friend of my father and a childhood neighbour of my mother. A few years ago I had the opportunity to pass a few days with you and Marge at your home as a 'tag-along' guest of my parents. I was struck by your genuine interest in everything and everyone. Godspeed on this most extraordinary flight that you are taking. Marge: Thinking of you on this day of farewells. Stay strong, cherish the memories. - Posted by: Brenda Platt (Friend) on: Sep 30, 2015

  • We first met Ken and Marge in 1982, we also had a daughter around Vanessa's age and we formed a wonderful friendship that has endured throughout the years. We've enjoyed many occasions of celebrating holidays and birthdays and great fun times. Ken was a sweetheart of a man, always so optimistic and upbeat. We loved to see him arriving at our house, he was always so appreciative of anything you did for him, no matter how little but then Ken had the ability to make everyone he encountered feel special, you always had his undivided attention. We loved him and will miss him dearly, until we meet again my friend R.I.P. you will not be forgotten. - Posted by: Louisa and Gerry Sawchuk (Friend) on: Sep 30, 2015

  • Ken was the 1st person to introduce himself and welcome us to the neighbourhood (moving onto Grassington Bay)back in 1984,He was the kindest and quietest guy I ever met, always willing to lend a hand and funny if you mentioned a persons name,in any town, he would know that person, it was kind of uncanny. Knowing Ken, I can easily say he has made an influence on many peoples lives and will be fondly remembered . I'm so sorry for your loss Marge & Vanessa. - Posted by: Randy Edwards (previous neighbour/ friend) on: Sep 30, 2015

  • Ken, always with a smile, so truly kind in his heart, was one of the first faces that became familiar to me when I immigrated to Canada. We all know you are smiling now! Your humor and warmth and your wine will never be forgotten! - Posted by: Florian lassnig (Friend ) on: Sep 29, 2015

  • Ken was a most welcoming and warm person. When I was new to the Rigaux family he welcomed me with open arms. He always had a smile and a hello whenever he saw me, he showed genuine interest in my life and the lives of our children. He will be greatly missed and there will be a noticeable loss at family gatherings with him gone. - Posted by: Maggie Cox (Chris Rigaux's wife) on: Sep 28, 2015

  • I will never forget after my father passed Ken and Marge came to my work and brought me a sympathy card. I had the opportunity to talk with both of them about my father for an extended period of time. Ken was always such a kind, warm and caring person and I am grateful for having him as my neighbor as a kid growing up on Victory Place. My father and Ken spent many hours talking together out in front of our homes....it is such a nice memory of both of them. Thinking of you Marge and Vanessa. - Posted by: Jill Mathez (Former Neighbour and friend) on: Sep 28, 2015

  • Sorry about Ken's passing. The Florida Labossière family wishes to offer sincere condolences to the Rigaux family on the loss of a great person in Ken. We met Ken when our mothers were next door neighbours at Despins Residence. How Ken's visits and volunteer time at Despins brought smiles and joy to the senior residents, to their family members and to the staff! Everyone loved Ken. He left us some wonderful memories. Rest in peace, Ken. - Posted by: Roma Falsarella (Friend) on: Sep 28, 2015

  • Ken was a wonderful man. I met Ken when I started my career at CN in 1995. He was very supportive in helping out the 'new' team in parting his knowledge to all. After Ken's retirement I met up with him again at my sister-in-law's funeral. He was the same warm man that I had met earlier and it gave me a lift to speak with him again at a time of sorrow. If you learned anything from Ken it was to be kind to everyone. - Posted by: Betty Kuch (co-worker at CN) on: Sep 28, 2015

  • Ken and I met when we worked at Symington Yard C.N.R. in the middle sixties, he was easy to get along with, he typed 100 words a minute. He worked in the office and I was a Carman ... I lined him up with my sister-in-law. that didn't work out ... we were friends until the end .. Which came too soon. - Posted by: Ted Bohncke (Friends for about 50 years ..) on: Sep 26, 2015

  • Ken is now looking down at us saying on this very warm fall day "No sweating up here guys, so keep making sacrifices so you can join me in this perfect world some day later" . We know it was too soon but only one person decides. So we will pray for you "The family" to have the strength to let him go in peace. Let us reminisce of the good times, like all the questions Ken had every time we met. - Posted by: Rene & Elsie Hacault (Neighbor in Mariapolis and friend) on: Sep 26, 2015
