Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERMAIN DESROCHERS Peacefully, with family at his side, Germain passed away at Actionmarguerite (St. Vital) Foyer Valade, on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Germain is lovingly remembered by his children Ronald (Raymonde), Linda (Eric) Devodder, grandchildren Daniel (Cindy), Rachelle (Ernest), Brigitte (Craig), Jeffrey and Jennifer (Michael), 12 great-grandchildren, brothers André (Jeanne) and Antonin (Fernande), sisters Blanche and Lilianne (Aimé) Boulet, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Alice, his parents, brothers and sisters. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Unit 3 at Actionmarguerite (St. Vital) for their caring compassion given to Germain and the family. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Précieux-Sang Parish, 200 Kenny Street. Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. A private family interment of his cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Dear Linda & Eric, Jeff, Jenn, Mike, Addi & Bree and family - I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much your dad, grandpa & great-grandpa was loved. I was convinced that he was my Memere's (Annette Desrochers)favourite brother. I fondly remember playing cards with Germain & Alice, and Auntie Blanche when I'd stay over at Memere's place. Those Desrochers siblings had so much fun together. Jenn, do you remember when your grandpa took us fishing for a day? That was the first time I went fishing. It was a great day, although your grandpa could not believe how chatty we were. He told us the fish liked it quiet! My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Love from Sarah, Todd & Evan.
