OLIVER STEPHEN NEEDHAM On October 8, 2015, Steve passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the age of 79. Steve was predeceased by his oldest son Dan and great-grandchild McKenna. He was survived by his wife of 39 years Merrilee Needham, brother-in Law Kerry (Lil) Stevens and sons Dave (Donna), Doug (Tami), Duane (Tina); and his daughters Sherry Andracheck, Connie Harper, Cindy (Greg) Stanley and Judy (Joe) Richichi. He was also survived by his sister Sally (Harvey), and numerous nieces and nephews, 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Steve taught his family to be honest, to persevere through tough times, to be disciplined and orderly. He taught that hard work was the secret to success and to "Not always do what I do, but always do what I say". He pushed us to become better than we could be, and deep down he loved us as much as we hoped he could. He will be remembered for bringing his second wife Merrilee into the lives of his children and grandchildren just in the nick of time. She taught them to enjoy the lake (Farlane) and nature and to have fun. A private ceremony was held on Monday, October 12, 2015 with immediate family. A special thank you goes out to the support staff at Tuxedo Villa for their care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or Siloam Mission.
