BERYL CRAIG 1920 - 2015 Beryl passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 19, 2015 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her sister Bernice and John, her husband of 43 years. After they were wed, John and Beryl settled in the Charleswood area, where they raised their children and spent many wonderful years. Born and raised in small-town Saskatchewan, Beryl epitomized the prairie attitude of selflessness and kindness. It was not through words, but through her deeds and gentle nature that she showed us the importance of these qualities. She often reiterated stories of her lifetime that reminded us that our lives perhaps weren't as hard or troublesome as we may have imagined. She was also well able to tell of good times and had us all laughing on many occasions. Beryl will be sadly missed by her four children: Gail (John), Doug (Gail), James (Tracy) and Howard (Nilam). Together with her brother Bill and her numerous grand and great-grandchildren, the inspiration she gave us to be kind to others will never fade. There will be no more cold winters for you...only warm memories left behind for us to be forever grateful for. We will always love you! Our sincerest thank you goes out to all the wonderful staff on the third floor of the Kildonan Personal Care Home. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
