Jack and I met in the University's Gritty Grotto, where we were easily the oldest weight-lifters exercising there. We occasionally had lunch at Garbonzo's Restaurant, where we would exchange opinions and stories from the past, present and sometimes predict the future! I was just enough younger than Jack that I missed 'signing up' for WW2, so his experiences overseas were of great interest to me. Incidentally, I too was/am an engineer. I missed my luncheon companion when I moved to Tsawwassen B.C. a few years ago. I remember Jack with great fondness. Glenn - Posted by: Glenn Swift (Friend) on: Oct 30, 2015
