GARAND Dr. Gerald Garand passed away peacefully in early morning October 29, 2015 at 4:45 a.m. at the Foyer Notre Dame in Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba. Dr. Garand was a very dedicated optometrist with a great talent for treating every patient with care, specializing in contact lens fitting pioneering in this field. He retired in 2003, to his little home in Cardinal, Manitoba. Where he enjoyed playing his musical instruments, reading from his large collection of books, motorcycling through the countryside his camera in hand. He leaves behind his partner of many years Thérèse, her daughter Sonia and grandsons Eric and Chase. "Dear "Jerry" you will be greatly missed. Rest well my friend."
