Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANGELA THERESA LEWIS April 24, 1922 - November 1, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Theresa Lewis (nee Mroczek) on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the age of 93 years. She left this world escorted by her Guardian Angel, peacefully and devoutly, into the Divine Presence of Our Lord Jesus and in the company of Mary, His Mother, to Whom Angela held a very tender and filial devotion. Angela was predeceased by her husband Louie in 1995; son Randy in 1993, and all her siblings, Mildred, John, Walter, Henry, Frank, Mike and Stan. She leaves to mourn her children and grandchildren: son Ed (Margarete) of Montreal and children Melissa and Amber; son Mark (Jan) of Calgary and children Jennifer [(Mark), Addison and Kinley], Michael (Giacomo) and Christina; son Rick (Lynn) of Winnipeg and children Sean and Cory; son Ray (Marian) of Selkirk and children Charlotte [(Darren), Paige and Justin], Carson, Mitchell and Amanda [(Mark) and Kali Rae]; and only daughter Andi Lewis-Van Dyk (Mike) of Calgary and children Amanda (Greg) and Michelle. She is survived by sisters-in-law Nellie Unik and Loretta Lewis both of Selkirk and many wonderful nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Angela was a devout Catholic and a devoted wife and mother to six children. She worked side by side with her husband to raise their family and to build a successful business - Lewis Jewellers - in Beausejour. She was a long-term member of the Church choir and scripture reader and a past-president of the local chapter of the Catholic Women's League (CWL). Her beautiful smile and loving kindness will be forever in our hearts. Our sincere appreciation goes out to Dr. Ramanna and the dedicated staff at Bow View Manor in Calgary, for their wonderful care and attention during Mom's stay. A special thank you goes to Fr. Stan Gacek for his spiritual guidance and pastoral support, which he provided with tender and loving care. We are grateful to Gilbart Funeral Home for their excellent handling of the arrangements. The pallbearers will be Angela's sons, son-in-law and grandson. Prayers will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Selkirk, with Fr. Stan Gacek officiating. It was Angela's wish to be cremated following the traditional Church service with inurnment beside her husband and son in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we gratefully acknowledge Holy Mass intentions for Angela or a donation to the charity of your choice, in her name. Andi and Mike, so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. What a wonderful life the 2 of you provided her with these past years! She was a lovely, sweet, genuine, lady with a whole lot of spunk! I will remember Mrs. Lewis as she was, when she joined us to watch Tanyss perform at Jubilations! Andi, will never forget the sleepovers from way back when. I knew of Angela, threw her wonderful daughter Andi, and learned a great deal about her, she was a great woman and loving mother.
