KATHERINE GRENKOW May 14, 1927 - November 3, 2015 With our hearts filled with sorrow, we announce the passing of our treasured mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Larry, Leonard (Dayna), Marlene (Keith), Diane, Allan (Dawne), and Daniel (Kathleen), 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn her passing are her sisters Jean and Mary, brothers Joe and Frank and extended family. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Frank, her daughter-in-law Noreen, son-in-law Rod, brother George, and sister Marion. Mom farmed alongside Dad for many years. Her family was her pride and joy. She excelled in her passions of cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, crocheting and knitting. She loved our big family get-togethers that were filled with plenty of her wonderful cooking, baking and plenty of laughter. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Katherine's family would like to thank all of the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for caring for Mom in her last years. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired a donation can be made to a charity of one's choice.
