BEVERLEY ANN LAW
Born: Aug 07, 1954
Date of Passing: Oct 31, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEVERLEY ANN LAW August 7, 1954 - October 31, 2015 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Beverley Ann Law at 11:12 p.m. on October 31, 2015. A kind and gentle soul passed away. Ironically Bev left us on her favourite holiday. Predeceased by her father Robert and mother Rachel (nee Collins). Beverley is survived by her loving wife Audrey Poff of 18 years, daughter Chelsea Rose Blu Law (Fraser Thomson); brothers, Robert (Pat), Christopher (Eileen), Brian (Pat), brother-in-law Clifford, sister-in-law Doreen (Norman) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed by many friends. Bev grew up in Flin Flon and then moved to B.C. and settled in Kamloops. First and foremost Bev was caregiver. She was loved and will be missed by her clients. Many of whom considered her a friend. Unfortunately Beverley will not be with us to meet her future granddaughter, who is expected in February. But she will be watching from above. Bev was forever grateful to her sponsor Ernie D. for all the years of guidance. During her illness she was happy to have been able to travel to Kamloops and was honoured to present Ernie with his 40 year Sobriety Chip. There are many people to thank. A big thank you to her special nephew Philip Law (Milana), who was there from the day of her diagnosis to the end. Her brother Brian came from B.C. and spent five weeks reminicsing about their childhood and working her program with her. Her best friend Sharon from Calgary hardly left her side for the last few weeks. To Juliet for her support and words of encouragement and her puffed wheat cake which was made with love. And last but not least, Jan Kostyk, who drove her to every appointment and treatment and talked her through her hard days and became her confidant. Beverley called her the "Coffee Cart" as she would show up every morning with coffee. To Janet Figler always in the background, but always helping and to the staff on Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital, thank you for the wonderful care provided to Bev, especially nurse in training Cory. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11.00 a.m. on November 16, 2015 at McIvor Avenue, Church, at 200 McIvor Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations can be made to Winnipeg Pet Rescue, 3062 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3K 0Y1 or Siloam Mission, 200 Princess Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 1M3. It is said that you can tell a person's worth by their friends - it's easy to see that Bev was indeed a wealthy person. I met Bev too late in life and only had the privilege and pleasure of her friendship for a few short years. I'll cherish the visits and happy hours (and haircuts) and many laughs we shared in Bev and Aud's patio, a friendship without question or criticism. But most of all, I'll miss Bev's smiling face. A kind, generous, caring, compassionate lady - a friend taken from us too soon, but gone to a better place where her health is restored and her days are pain free. Rest in peace Bev, you will truly be missed... - Posted by: Linda Sarka (buddy) on: Nov 08, 2015

I had the pleasure of spending almost 7 wonderful years with Bev and Chelsea. Due to life circumstances our lives were changed but it did not end my love and admiration for Bev and Chelsea.. I have watched Chelsea grow up into a beautiful young lady who will soon become a wonderful, caring mother as she had the best role model. I wish I had known of her illness. I would have liked to visit and reminisce about the good times of raising Chelsea when she was small. I wish I could be there for her "celebration of life" but will be away. My heart goes out to all of you who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. Special love and condolences to Chelsea, Audrey, and Bev's brothers and sister in laws. - Posted by: Karen Ronningen (Ex partner) on: Nov 07, 2015

I met Bev being a patient also at St.B hospital, she was a inspiration when I met her, we met for coffee every day outside many times a day and had wonderful talks about life, dying and angels. We talked about that because I am very sick myself and she always made me feel better with all her loving words and her positive attitude about coming to the end of life. I will always remember Bev and her lovely friends sitting outside together and our inspirational talks we had. She was so strong about her condition and positive. The day I left the hospital she told me we will both meet again some day in a wonderful place with no pain, pills, needle pokes, but lots of coffe, may you rest in peace beautiful Bev. My sympathies to your wife, daughter and family. Your coffee friend Kellie - Posted by: Kellie Tkachuk (Friend) on: Nov 07, 2015
