Gerry was a good, gentle, neighbour who always had a friendly word or two for us every time we saw him in his yard. He was kind and generous and was always sharing something he'd bought on special. He loved going around the neighbourhood looking for "bargains" at garage sales and always with friendly little Holly on his lap. He was never down about being confined to his wheelchair and his mobility was not hampered in any way. He dreamed big and his disability did not dampen those dreams. We'll miss his smiling face every day as we step out the door of our house. Our condolences to all of Gerry's family and close friends. I remember Gerry because his older brother Gene was a classmate of mine. Though I never got to see him in Canada, I know he will be missed by all who loved him. May he rest peacefully. - Posted by: Gabby Franco (Friend of the family) on: Nov 11, 2015

I am really lucky to have such a kind, generous and loving uncle like my Uncle Gerry. Even if we lived far apart and rarely saw each other, this was never an issue, because he was a gnetle and loving man. I will miss you much, Uncle Gerry. Hope you are now in the loving presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and happily reunited with papa, ama, kongkong, aunt bernie, and all the good souls. I love you! - Posted by: Judd dy (Nephew) on: Nov 11, 2015

Gerry and I worked at Winnipeg Bluepring for 12 years. After leaving Canada in 1997, I kept in touch with him for a few years. Unfortunatly I lost contact with him and tried to contact him many time specially earlier this year to invite him for my dauther's wedding as he was greatly involved in her early part of her life and she always talks about him, but I could not. Today a found out through a friend that he read his passing in the Free Press. He was a wondrful person and my family and I along many others that knew him are going to miss him. My deepest sympathy to his brothers and their families. - Posted by: Majid Nakhayee (Friend & Co-Worker) on: Nov 09, 2015

Gerry will be missed greatly by the Knights of Columbus. He dedicated himself to helping in any way that he could. He made everyone feel so welcome and included, that was just the way he was. His amazing attitude and bubbly personality is an inspiration to me and I am sure to MANY others. I have never met someone who could lose so much an remain so VERY positive. A wonderful, generous, loving man whose presence made such a difference to so many. God bless you Gerry. Rest in peace Brother, friend . - Posted by: kevin gavin (Friend) on: Nov 07, 2015
