EDWARD CHANOWSKI September 29, 1928 - November 7, 2015 Peacefully, with his family by his side, it is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Edward on November 7, 2015 at the age of 87. Edward is survived by his wife Eileen, of 60 years, daughter Brenda (Jim), son Brian (Deb), son Darren (Angela), son Kelly, his seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Also by his surviving brothers Frank and Mike, and sisters Carol and Mary. Predeceased by brother Stan, sisters Jean and Emily. Eddie was born in Anola, MB on September 29, 1928. Upon marriage he moved to Transcona. He continued to farm while he worked at CN Rail. Eddie loved to curl and play baseball. He also enjoyed to travel and spending time with his family and friends. Thank you to the health care workers and to the ICU staff at Concordia Hospital. Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day St. Celebration of Edward's life will follow on Monday, November 16, 2015 also at the Wheeler Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eddie's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
